Your first 90 days of jewellery making — a practice plan
A class mid-session — practice rhythm beats intensity every time.
Progress in jewellery comes from rhythm, not heroics. Here is a 90-day
shape that works alongside a real course.
Weeks 1-2 — taste and decide
One experience class. Pick your door with the
2-minute finder. Buy nothing yet.
Weeks 3-6 — the foundation course + daily hands
Enrol in the entry certificate of your chosen family
(essentials
or foundation metalwork).
15 minutes of daily hands: knots, loops, sawing scrap. Practise THE skill
from last class, not a new one.
Weeks 7-10 — make for real
Three finished pieces for actual humans. Photograph them properly
([photography guide](https://beadjewellery.info/photography-for-bead-sellersU pp-photo)).
Failure notes in a bench journal — every broken thing teaches.
Weeks 11-13 — the second course + the review
Book course two on the
calendar. Re-read your journal; your
weakest skill is the next course's focus. By day 90 you have five finished
pieces and a direction — the ladder from
there.
